Tractor Supply Breaks Ground on Idaho Distribution Center, Creating 500+ Jobs

Rural lifestyle retailer Tractor Supply Company has officially broken ground on its new 865,000-square-foot distribution center in Nampa, Idaho, which will serve as the company’s 11th distribution facility in the U.S. The project marks an investment of nearly $225 million into the Canyon County area and is expected to enhance the company’s supply network to better serve over 200 Tractor Supply stores in the Pacific Northwest region.

The Nampa distribution center, slated to be operational by late 2026 or early 2027, is set to meet LEED certification standards for sustainability. This green initiative will not only contribute to eco-friendly practices but will also create over 500 full-time jobs for the community. Tractor Supply plans to begin hiring for the facility in the second quarter of 2026.
The ground-breaking ceremony featured Tractor Supply’s chief supply chain officer, Colin Yankee, Nampa mayor Debbie Kling, and other federal, state, and local leaders. Reflecting on the event, Yankee expressed, “Today is an exciting milestone in our company’s storied history. As we mark the ground-breaking of the Nampa facility, we are celebrating the extension of our distribution network to the Pacific Northwest for the very first time.”
This facility will help Tractor Supply strengthen its presence in Idaho, where the company currently operates 12 stores. Nationwide, the company has a total of 2,296 stores across 49 states. The new distribution center will contribute to the retailer’s commitment to improving supply chain efficiency and creating job opportunities in the local area.
Tractor Supply has distribution centers across various locations, including Frankfort, New York, Casa Grande, Arizona, and Macon, Georgia. The Nampa site is expected to play a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for the company’s products in the Pacific Northwest while creating jobs and bolstering the local economy.
In addition to supporting job creation, Tractor Supply continues to prioritize sustainability through its commitment to building energy-efficient, eco-friendly facilities.
