Skanska Appoints Cassandra Campbell as New Supplier Diversity Lead in New England

Caroline Raffetto

Skanska has announced the appointment of Cassandra Campbell as the new supplier diversity manager for its New England region, effective September 30. With 27 years of experience at the Massachusetts Port Authority, Campbell brings extensive expertise in diversity, management, and logistics.

Based in Skanska USA’s Boston office, Campbell will focus on developing and managing supplier diversity strategies for regional offices while working closely with internal stakeholders to enhance opportunities for diverse subcontractors in New England. She will also coordinate diverse business events and oversee the education of employees on Skanska’s Supplier Diversity program.

“Cassandra is a dynamic addition to the team who brings a passion and expertise for promoting and engaging with the diverse business community,” said Joycelyn Yue, national director of supplier diversity for Skanska USA Building.

Skanska's commitment to supplier diversity aligns with industry trends, as experts note that sourcing from local, underrepresented suppliers can enhance a company’s supply chain by providing alternative procurement methods beyond traditional channels.

Campbell's previous roles at the Massachusetts Port Authority included senior accounts receivable specialist, accountant, internal audit staff, and senior program administrator for minority- and women-owned business enterprises. In her most recent position, she supported small, diverse businesses and implemented data analysis techniques to improve diversity initiatives, ensuring compliance and advising stakeholders on diversity matters.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Skanska and contribute my expertise and experience to what Skanska is already doing toward supplier diversity,” Campbell stated. “Skanska is known across the industry as a trailblazer in creating unique opportunities for small diverse businesses, and I’m looking forward to advancing these efforts across New England.”
