Montana Food Bank Network Warehouse Construction Ahead of Schedule in Missoula

Caroline Raffetto

The construction of the new Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN) warehouse near the Missoula airport is progressing rapidly and is ahead of schedule.

The new facility will be double the size of MFBN's current warehouse, enabling the organization to better meet the growing demand for food services across Montana.

The expanded warehouse will have the capacity to store 1,600 pallets of food, significantly increasing the current storage capabilities. Additionally, the new space will feature office areas for staff, with the potential for future expansion.

“One of the challenges that we really run into is a lot with the warehouse space. So we have pretty tight limitations on how much product we can take in, and we have to really time that so that we make sure it’s in and out on a quick basis. We just don’t have that storage space,” said Gayle Carlson, MFBN president and CEO.

MFBN is still seeking support to meet their fundraising goal. For more information, visit MFBN Get Involved.
