ST. LOUIS – McCarthy Holdings, Inc. has been recognized once again as one of the 2024 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America. This prestigious award honors companies that prioritize employee health and well-being. McCarthy, a leader in the construction industry for over 160 years, continues to be recognized for fostering a culture of wellness across its workforce.

“This recognition highlights our dedication to building a culture that prioritizes the well-being of our employees,” said Kristyn Cantu, Director of McCarthy’s Total Rewards program. “From physical health to mental wellness and financial security, we strive to provide comprehensive resources that truly make a difference in our employees’ lives.”

Healthiest Workplaces Award

The Healthiest Workplaces Award honors organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employees through wellness programs. Companies are evaluated based on their health and benefits offerings, including employee engagement, leadership commitment, and innovative wellness initiatives.

“We saw some of the highest scores in program history this year,” said Haley Potoczek, program manager at Springbuk. “I believe this emphasizes the importance that employers play on employee health, engagement, and overall happiness. Wellness is about more than just physical activity. Employers must continue to evolve to create a positive work environment.”

McCarthy’s Wellness Offerings

McCarthy’s holistic wellness program includes flexible benefits, mental health support through Lyra, financial coaching via My Secure Advantage, and family-building support from Maven. Wellness Champions play a crucial role in promoting health initiatives nationwide, including over 30 biometric screening events and company-wide fitness challenges.

“By investing in their well-being, we’re not only enhancing their quality of life but also strengthening the foundation of our organization,” added Cantu.

The company’s commitment to mental health is also evident, with 98% of employees and their families receiving timely mental health support. McCarthy has integrated mental health into its broader safety initiatives, reducing stigma and encouraging open dialogue across its teams.
