Construction Begins on Oregon's State-of-the-Art 2.MO Football Facility

Oregon Ducks football is taking its success to the next level with the official start of construction on a new, multimillion-dollar practice facility, set to enhance the program's already impressive infrastructure. The project, known as "2.MO," promises to provide the team with cutting-edge facilities, all while continuing to honor Oregon's rich athletic legacy.
The Ducks have been a dominant force in college football, recently making a splash in the Big Ten and reaching the College Football Playoffs. With the addition of this new facility, right next to Autzen Stadium, Oregon is further cementing its status as a powerhouse in collegiate athletics.

Revamping the Moshofsky Center
A few years ago, the Oregon athletic department unveiled plans to completely overhaul the Moshofsky Center, the Ducks' indoor practice facility, alongside adjacent outdoor football fields. Now, with the commencement of construction on 2.MO on February 17, 2025, the project is well underway, marking a new chapter in the evolution of Oregon football.
The new facility is set to feature state-of-the-art equipment, training spaces, and other resources, enhancing the experience for both athletes and staff. The exterior of the building will be dominated by glass panels, with the iconic Oregon "O" prominently displayed on the rooftop, offering a striking visual as part of the university's athletic landscape.
Integration with Existing Facilities
In the mock-up designs for the facility, the Moshofsky Center, along with other key athletic structures such as the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex, stadium, and the adjacent Casanova Athletic facility, remain central components of the Ducks' football operations. The integration of these existing and new spaces ensures that the university maintains a unified and functional athletic campus.
Funding and Scope of the Project
Fully funded by generous donors, the 2.MO facility promises to be a massive addition to Oregon's athletic infrastructure. The facility will span an impressive 140,000 square feet and is expected to benefit a wide range of programs, not just football. Other teams, including soccer and track, will also have expanded access to the Moshofsky Center's indoor spaces, enhancing the training opportunities available to all student-athletes.

In addition to the new construction, the project includes a 30,000-square-foot renovation of the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex, further upgrading one of Oregon's most iconic athletic buildings.
Spring Game and Future Expectations
While the 2025 football season won’t begin until August 30, when the Ducks face the Montana State Bobcats at Autzen Stadium, players and fans alike are eagerly anticipating the annual Spring Game, scheduled for April 26. With the new facility under construction, there’s hope that the progress made will allow the event to proceed without disrupting the atmosphere at the stadium or the fan experience.
As construction continues on this massive project, expectations for Oregon’s football program remain high. With state-of-the-art training spaces, an expanded facility for multiple teams, and the support of passionate donors, the Ducks are poised to remain at the forefront of college football, continuing to build on their already storied legacy.
