The Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council (AGMCC) Explores Potential Partnership with the National Glass Association (NGA)
SACKETS HARBOR, N.Y. – The Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council (AGMCC), the organization behind the North American Contractor Certification (NACC) and Architectural Glass and Metal Technician (AGMT) programs—North America’s only third-party credentials for glazing contractors and technicians—has begun discussions to explore potential collaboration with the National Glass Association (NGA). NGA is known for providing valuable resources to the glass industry, including educational tools like MyGlassClass.com, technical manuals, and key industry events. The conversations come following AGMT's successful inaugural testing event during the GlassBuild America 2024 trade show, hosted on the NGA’s exhibit floor.
"We are grateful to NGA for the opportunity to host our first live AGMT testing event during GlassBuild America," said Scott Kennett, AGMT Program Manager. "This gave attendees an in-depth look at the rigorous standards behind AGMT certification. As both the AGMT and NACC programs continue to grow in recognition, we look forward to strengthening our relationships with leading organizations in the glazing industry, such as NGA."
"Seeing the AGMT test in action and hearing from AGMCC board members at NGA's annual meeting after GlassBuild America reinforced the value of potential collaboration," said Jenni Chase, Vice President of Workforce Development at NGA. "Our member community includes over 1,800 companies, and we take pride in supporting them in their efforts to build successful businesses. Certification is a key element in that success."
The AGMCC and NGA have committed to hosting a second AGMT testing event at GlassBuild America 2025, which will take place from November 4-6, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
