Premier Appoints Aimee Sanborn as SVP of Architecture, Expanding Expertise

DALLAS — Premier, a comprehensive firm specializing in architecture, design, procurement, project management, corporate engineering, and development, is pleased to announce the appointment of Aimee Sanborn, AIA, NCARB, as the firm’s new Senior Vice President of Architecture. Premier, renowned for its work in hospitality, multi-family residential, student housing, adaptive reuse, and commercial mixed-use projects, has expanded its capabilities with this strategic move to further strengthen its national standing.

Sanborn, who joined Premier in 2023 as Senior Vice President of Adaptive Reuse and Mixed-Use, played a pivotal role in leading the firm's national expansion into the adaptive reuse, historic conservation, and mixed-use segments. Due to her exceptional leadership in these areas, she will now oversee Premier’s entire Architecture team, while continuing to grow its expertise in adaptive reuse and mixed-use projects.

Sanborn’s Strategic Leadership and Expertise

Sanborn’s promotion is part of Premier’s broader initiative to accelerate the growth and development of its services as a full-service architectural design firm. With a focus on advancing Premier’s new-build hotel, multi-family residential, and commercial mixed-use design practices, Sanborn’s vast experience significantly enhances the company’s ability to drive both innovation and exceptional service in its architectural offerings.

“I’m very excited to be moving into this new role,” Sanborn shared. “Having an already established and productive relationship with the team, and having helped hone our design approach and our processes, the opportunity to jump in and immediately have a positive impact on Premier’s clients is motivating, to say the least.”

Sanborn is deeply passionate about helping communities and clients create and preserve iconic buildings and spaces through innovative architectural design. With two decades of leadership experience, she has worked on an extensive range of projects, including new-build high-rise multifamily, luxury residential, hospitality, office spaces, historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and industrial projects.

Vision for Growth and Innovation

“We’re very pleased to have Aimee move into this new role,” said Hector Sanchez, Premier’s Chief Executive Officer. “I am confident that under Aimee’s leadership, Premier Architecture will continue to position itself for the aggressive growth that lies ahead as we continue to gain market share and successfully execute exceptional service and design for our valued clients.”

Prior to joining Premier, Sanborn held senior leadership roles at Powers Brown Architecture, where she served as Principal, and at Merriman Anderson Architects, where she was Partner, Principal, and Studio Leader. Aimee holds a master’s degree in architecture from the University of South Florida and is currently a licensed architect in 25 states.
