Outbuild Launches Real-Time Scheduling Integration with Autodesk

SAN FRANCISCO — Construction tech company Outbuild has launched its first-ever integration with the Schedule module in Autodesk Construction Cloud®, a move that aims to eliminate manual data transfers and improve coordination across construction teams. The new integration allows users to seamlessly push their updated project schedules from Outbuild into Autodesk® Build, enhancing transparency and reducing the risk of costly miscommunication.

The construction industry has long faced challenges stemming from outdated, siloed scheduling tools. Because many project stakeholders lack access to legacy software systems, they often operate on outdated or incomplete information. According to a study by Autodesk and FMI, this disconnect leads to 48% of rework in U.S. construction projects—costing the industry an estimated $31.3 billion annually.

Outbuild’s direct integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud seeks to solve this long-standing pain point by creating a centralized, up-to-date source of truth for schedules.

“This integration offers powerful functionality for planning, designing, building and delivering projects on schedule,” said Franco Giaquinto, CEO of Outbuild. “Together, Outbuild and Autodesk are empowering construction industry professionals to turn projects over on time and with better alignment and fewer conflicts. This integration – along with the others we continue to develop – supports our mission to break down silos and seamlessly connect the schedule to every other piece of construction data.”

The integration enables one-click export of updated schedules from Outbuild into Autodesk Build Files, where schedules sync automatically into the Schedule module and can support downstream activities like lookahead planning and work plan updates. This eliminates the need for repeated file uploads and ensures that all stakeholders are working from the most current version of the project timeline.

Outbuild’s intuitive, construction-specific scheduling tools also cut down on setup time. According to the company, users can build and update schedules in half the time it takes with legacy software.

“Centralized, real-time schedule coordination enhances collaboration among architects, engineers, contractors and owners,” said James Cook, director of industry & technology partnerships at Autodesk. “By integrating schedules created and managed in Outbuild with Autodesk Construction Cloud, project managers and field teams gain better visibility into their projects, empowering them to deliver superior outcomes.”

Field teams and clients are already noticing the impact of the integration.

“Outbuild provides us the opportunity to quickly and efficiently keep our project schedule up to date with real time happenings in the field, and [our integration] also keeps our clients in the loop,” said Zach Carlsen of Blox Construction.

This partnership is now live and available to all users of Outbuild and Autodesk Build, with activation accessible through Outbuild’s integration settings.
