McKinstry Hires Todd Lee as Sr. Director for National Design-Build Operations

SEATTLE, WA – McKinstry strengthened its national design-build leadership expertise by hiring Todd Lee as senior director for national design-build operations. Lee previously served as executive vice president for Urban Visions and Sellen Construction where he personally oversaw delivery of more than 10 million square feet of prominent real estate spanning healthcare, life sciences, higher education, commercial high-rise and multifamily projects.

McKinstry’s national design-build operations leverages the company’s integrated engineering, construction and energy teams to develop, design and deliver key MEP infrastructure projects coast-to-coast. Always starting with the end in mind, the group focuses on both short- and long-term goals coupled with an unmatched project development process to guarantee outcomes. In his new role, Lee will accelerate national design-build growth with responsibility for market strategy and project delivery.

“Our national clients are demanding more design-build expertise as projects scale with increasing speed and complexity due to evolving decarbonization goals, building performance mandates and energy codes,” said Brian Antonsen, McKinstry senior vice president for Construction Sales and Marketing. “Todd is an invaluable addition that will help us exceed evolving client needs coast-to-coast. We are humbled to have him join our team and by the value he brings to both our clients and our projects.”

Lee chose to join McKinstry for its unwavering commitment to mitigating the climate, affordability and equity crises through an ongoing Action for Impact strategy. Action for Impact calls for collective action across the construction industry to innovate waste and climate harm out of the built environment with and end goal of creating the transformative change and lasting impact that our communities deserve.

“While I have achieved much in my career, there is still more work to be done around decarbonization, electrification and proving that a zero-carbon built environment is possible without compromise and at zero premium,” said Lee. “McKinstry’s reputation for innovation and putting its people and communities first make that outcome possible, and I am excited to play my part in driving waste and climate harm out of the built environment.”

Lee has partnered with McKinstry throughout his career, aligning with company’s vision of together, building a thriving planet as well as its values-led culture.
