Donald J. Leith Named a Top Executive for 2024 by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide

Afton, IA, October 15, 2024 — Donald J. Leith of Afton, Iowa, has been recognized as a Top Executive for 2024 by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his exceptional contributions and achievements in the manufacturing sector.

About Donald J. Leith

A lifelong entrepreneur, Donald J. Leith owns several businesses and is the founder and president of New Homestead USA, a distributor-owned company that manufactures certified healthy products for the building industry. The company specializes in customizing log homes and assists customers in designing homes that reflect their personalities, lifestyles, and budgets. He also owns HealthMark, Home Run Buildings, and Healthy New Homes, which provides sustainable construction materials for creating certified non-toxic, "breathable" homes worldwide.

“For the past 50 years, as New Homestead USA, we've been providing building supplies and log structures nationally and internationally from our mill in Payette, Idaho. We also offer certified healthy construction solutions for building conventional housing in a most unconventional way,” said Leith. “Our goal is to promote an interest in non-toxic construction and energy savings within the building trade by explaining the health benefits of this construction compared to standard building approaches.”

In addition to his work with New Homestead USA, Leith has held various leadership roles, including serving two terms as president and ten years as a board member of the American Salers' Association. He received a Salers' bull from French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing as a gift to the American people in 1976. Leith is also a member of the American Limousin Association, serves on the board of Malibu Investment Company, and has been a board member of the Jerusalem Methodist Church for 30 years.

As a lifetime member of International Biology & Ecology, Leith is part of a global certifying organization for inspectors focused on health inspection and scoring of buildings. He founded North Payette Milling in 1991, which produced wood products to the specifications of 30 retail companies.

In the 1980s, Leith collaborated with the Federal Reserve to establish joint ventures in Russia, funding 17 sawmills. He owns Lazy L-5 Ranch Co, known for its yearly seed stock production sales, and has researched English and European breeds to determine optimal crossbreeds for quality consistency. Leith also founded Ranch Connection Inc., the first company to achieve a USDA label for nutrition, capable of producing up to 10,000 head of beef annually. He is also a 50% owner of Evergreen Laboratories in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 1984, the Leiths were awarded the title of National Winner for the "Prettiest Place in the Country" by Farm & Ranch Magazine. Recently, Donald was honored by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide as a Professional of the Year for 2024.

In his free time, Donald enjoys traveling, fishing, dining out, and spending time with family.
