Carroll Daniel Construction Co. Completes Acquisition of O’Neal Inc. Engineering

Carroll Daniel Construction Company has finalized the acquisition of O’Neal Inc. Engineering, based in Greenville, SC. The integration will combine O’Neal’s business units with Carroll Daniel’s in-house Engineering and Architecture divisions, now operating as Carroll Daniel Engineering. This acquisition adds over 100 engineers and support staff to the Carroll Daniel team.

Founded in 1975, O’Neal Inc. operates in Greenville, SC; Atlanta; and Allentown, PA, specializing in a range of engineering disciplines such as structural, mechanical, chemical, electrical, and process controls. The company has significant expertise in industries including process chemical, food and beverage, automotive, biopharmaceutical, and advanced manufacturing. O’Neal also offers integrated design solutions and equipment procurement for complex industrial projects.

With the acquisition, Carroll Daniel Engineering will continue to serve O’Neal’s established clients and markets, while leveraging synergies to drive growth under the new ownership.

In addition to O’Neal's core engineering business, Carroll Daniel has also acquired three of O’Neal’s subsidiaries: Quest Site Solutions, InFab Piping Services, and Bridge Automation. Quest Site Solutions specializes in site location analysis for public and private clients across the U.S., while InFab provides piping design, fabrication, and installation services for biopharmaceutical, industrial, and chemical applications. Bridge Automation focuses on developing custom machine learning solutions for industrial processes.

“This acquisition strengthens Carroll Daniel’s ability to offer a comprehensive suite of engineering, procurement, and construction services across the U.S.,” said Brian Daniel, CEO and President of Carroll Daniel Construction Company.

Carroll Daniel Engineering will be led by Eldon Gowens, who has extensive experience with O’Neal, including serving as Vice President of their advanced manufacturing business division before joining Carroll Daniel in 2020.
