ALICE Technologies Launches ALICE Plan: New 2D Project Planning Tool

MENLO PARK, Calif. — April 23, 2025 — ALICE Technologies, a leader in AI-driven construction simulation and optimization, has launched ALICE Plan, a groundbreaking 2D visual project planning tool. This new product aims to enhance communication and collaboration within construction teams by replacing traditional whiteboard planning with an interactive, digital canvas for real-time scheduling—without needing a 3D model.

ALICE Plan allows users to import project data such as schedules and multipage drawings. The tool automatically generates a dynamic 2D layout of the project schedule and overlays it onto the project’s drawings. This visual approach helps teams better manage complex schedules by customizing views based on Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) or other user-defined parameters, such as regions, start and finish dates.

The platform's powerful features include timelapse visualization, real-time schedule synchronization, and customizable filtering, all of which streamline project planning for both schedulers and planners.

“Most of the industry works in 2D and thinks visually, so this was the natural next step in the evolution of ALICE,” said René Morkos, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of ALICE Technologies. “It’s the most collaborative tool we offer. By relying on 2D drawings, it’s easy for anyone on the project team to engage with the schedule, understand its alignment with the project, and make necessary adjustments.”

ALICE Plan integrates seamlessly with the broader ALICE platform, which also includes ALICE Optimize and ALICE Model. ALICE Optimize allows teams to test various strategies, such as adjusting resources or recovering from delays, to find the most efficient and cost-effective solutions. Meanwhile, ALICE Model caters to BIM-based projects, enabling the creation of 4D buildable construction schedules.

“Project teams now have the flexibility to choose the planning approach that best suits their needs—whether it’s using the digital canvas, working directly with schedules, or utilizing BIM models,” Morkos added. “With features like Schedule Sync, ALICE ensures seamless schedule updates throughout the project lifecycle, which reduces risks and improves efficiency.”

ALICE Technologies’ AI-driven platform has already delivered significant results, including a 17% reduction in project duration, a 14% decrease in labor costs, and a 12% reduction in equipment costs. “ALICE Plan empowers teams to visualize their schedules more effectively, collaborate seamlessly, and gain actionable insights that lead to fewer delays, lower costs, and better project outcomes,” Morkos concluded.

ALICE Plan is available now as part of the ALICE platform. For additional information or to schedule a demo, visit www.alicetechnologies.com.
