Turner Wins 2024 Leadership Award from U.S. Green Building Council

Turner Construction Company has been honored with the 2024 U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership Award for Organizational Excellence, recognizing its longstanding commitment to advancing a sustainable and resilient built environment.

“The USGBC Leadership Awards recognize individuals and organizations at the forefront of our movement to transform the built environment,” stated Peter Templeton, President and CEO of USGBC.

Turner initiated formal sustainability efforts over 20 years ago and continues to innovate in ways that enhance its building practices, promote a sustainable supply chain, and positively affect the planet. The company’s dedicated sustainability team supports clients across various sectors seeking higher levels of environmental performance and resilience in their facilities.

For the past 16 years, Turner has been recognized as the top Green Builder by Engineering News-Record. The company is actively working to reduce energy, water, and waste in its operations, with a commitment to achieving Net-Zero Emissions by 2040. Additionally, Turner is advancing the use of advanced mass timber construction techniques and experimenting with low-carbon concrete in projects such as One Boston Wharf to promote sustainability for future generations.
