A cutting-edge facility aimed at advancing neurological care and research has reached a significant milestone. Turner Construction Company celebrated a momentous event in the construction of the $1 billion Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute, with the placement of the topping-out beam. The occasion, which drew around 600 attendees, included Turner staff, trade partners, design team members, and Cleveland Clinic representatives.

The new facility, covering over 1 million square feet, is specifically designed to enhance both inpatient and outpatient neurological services. It will feature advanced imaging and surgical services, research laboratories, and collaborative spaces focused on the treatment of neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s, brain, spine, and nerve disorders.

“Reaching this significant milestone is a testament to the dedication and collaboration of our entire team, trade partners, design team, and the Cleveland Clinic,” said Paul LeClair, Vice President and Construction Executive at Turner Construction Company. “This project represents more than steel and concrete—it embodies a commitment to advance neurological care and will have a positive impact on those affected by Alzheimer’s and other neurological disorders. We are proud to help deliver a world-class facility that will make a lasting impact on patients, caregivers, and the broader community.”

Dr. Andre Machado, M.D., Ph.D., Chief of the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic, highlighted the facility’s vital role in neurological advancements. “This is a unique facility dedicated to the outpatient and inpatient care of patients with disorders of the brain, spine, and nerves. Taurean Spratt, Vice President and General Manager, also reflected on the milestone, saying, “The topping out of the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is a major milestone for Northeast Ohio. This facility will stand as a place of hope, healing, and innovation for generations to come. We celebrate not just the progress of construction, but the promise of better healthcare.
