Voters across Arizona weighed in on a crucial question: With whom would you recommend doing business? — and their answers determined the list of the top general contractors in three workforce categories.

The list highlights standout contractors based not on revenue or size alone, but on public perception, client satisfaction, and overall reputation in the industry.

Top General Contractors (70–197 Employees)

LGE Design Build earned the No. 1 spot among general contractors with 70 to 197 Arizona-based employees. The firm, which operates in both Phoenix and Dallas, is known for offering fully integrated architecture and construction services. With more than 1,200 completed projects totaling over 25 million square feet, LGE has spent three decades refining a seamless design-build process tailored to client goals.

Known for its active community involvement and commitment to positive company culture, CHASSE operates in Phoenix and Tucson and employs over 250 team members. The company annually delivers more than $625 million in new construction and renovations across various sectors, including education, healthcare, municipal, and multifamily housing.

“Building to make a difference,” is the company’s philosophy, and one it applies not just to clients and subcontractors but also to the broader community.

The company is also deeply committed to giving back.

“Sun Eagle Corporation’s success has enabled the company to donate nearly $3 million to schools and nonprofit corporations emphasizing continuing education,” the company said. The firm is also tied to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing scholarships to Arizona State University, managed by members of the Alvarez family, now into its sixth generation of building in Arizona.
