Minnesota-based architecture and engineering firm, TKDA, has announced that Jeffrey Lipovetz will be taking the reins as their next CEO. Lipovetz is set to step into the role on August 25th.
He's replacing Tom Stoneburner, a 35-year TKDA veteran who has been at the helm since 2018. Don't worry, though – Stoneburner isn't going anywhere just yet. He'll stick around as the chairman of TKDA's board until early 2025.
"Jeff has been a rockstar here at TKDA for over a decade," raved Stoneburner. "He totally gets our business and has been a key player in shaping our future. I'm super confident that TKDA will keep killing it under his leadership."
Speaking of the future, TKDA recently announced a big move. They're relocating their St. Paul crew to Bloomington to better support their growing team and operations. Their new digs, a fancy 87,000-square-foot space called SoLo 3311, is located at 3311 E. Old Shakopee Road. The rest of the TKDA family in Duluth, Chicago, Seattle, and San Bernardino will stay put.
Lipovetz is stoked about his new role. "TKDA is in an awesome position," he said. "I'm excited to build on our success and keep creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. Our employees, the planet, and our clients – they're all important to me."
Lipovetz has been with TKDA since 2013 and has been serving as the chief operating officer.
