Registration Open for 2025 Louisiana Residential Contractors Seminar

BATON ROUGE, La. – Registration is officially open for the 2025 Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute (LCAI) Residential Contractors Seminar. This 10-week course, designed to equip construction professionals with essential technical knowledge, is a cornerstone of Louisiana’s acclaimed training programs for contractors. The seminar provides foundational insights that enable residential contractors to maximize business opportunities in the ever-expanding residential construction sector.

The course will be held online via Zoom from June 2 to August 6, with two-hour sessions scheduled twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The registration deadline for the seminar is May 31, with a course fee of $350 that covers the class and materials. To secure a spot, interested participants can visit the LCAI Residential Contractors page and click on the “Apply Now” button.

Designed specifically for small and emerging construction businesses, the Residential Contractors Seminar covers an array of crucial topics, including:

  • Print Reading
  • Building Calculations
  • Site Work, Demolition, and Construction
  • Foundations, Formwork, and Retaining Walls
  • Concrete and Masonry
  • Wood Frame Construction
  • Finishes
  • Roof Structures
  • Structural Loads
  • Related Trades
  • Special Construction and Equipment
  • Safety Codes

Since its inception in 2016, over 1,600 participants have graduated from LCAI seminars, which are offered in collaboration with Louisiana Economic Development, the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, and the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. These seminars are a response to the growing needs of the state’s construction industry and help contractors build a solid foundation of knowledge in both residential and commercial construction.

In addition to the Residential Contractors Seminar, LCAI will also offer a Business and Law Seminar later this year, scheduled from October 7 to November 13. This program will be another valuable resource for contractors seeking to expand their expertise in business operations and legal requirements in the construction field.
