OCCC Grand Concourse Expansion to Begin in 2026

ORLANDO, FL – The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) has unveiled plans for a $560 million Grand Concourse Expansion, aimed at enhancing connectivity and expanding event space at the North-South Building. The project will add 44,000 square feet of meeting space and a 100,000-square-foot ballroom, with construction beginning in 2026 and completion expected by 2029.
“We are excited to begin work on our Grand Concourse Expansion,” said OCCC Executive Director Mark Tester. “This project will significantly improve the convention center as we continue to meet the growing needs of our clients, and the meetings and events industry.”

Plans for Future Expansion: Phase 5B

Beyond the Grand Concourse Expansion, the OCCC has received approval to design Phase 5B, which will bring an additional 200,000 square feet of contiguous multipurpose/exhibit space to the North-South Building. This phase will further improve connectivity between the North and South Concourses and increase the total exhibit space to 1.15 million square feet.
With both phases complete, the OCCC will solidify its position as one of the premier convention centers in the country, offering world-class amenities to accommodate large-scale conferences, trade shows, and events.
