Luddon Builds New HQ for Oregon Timber Frame

Caroline Raffetto

Luddon Construction has successfully delivered a new headquarters for Oregon Timber Frame, enhancing the company's operational efficiency and supporting its future growth. The project entailed constructing a contemporary two-storey office building seamlessly integrated with Oregon’s existing manufacturing facilities.

State-of-the-Art Office Space

The newly built office is a steel-framed structure, designed with high-quality materials, including anthracite cladding, facing brickwork, and a Bauder roofing system. It also features a new car park, ensuring improved accessibility for employees and visitors.

The comprehensive scope of the project included:

Architectural Excellence

A steel-framed office building with an attractive mix of Tata Anthracite cladding, durable facing brickwork, and a high-performance Bauder roofing system.

Premium Interior Fit-Out

The building boasts raised access flooring, acoustic panelling for noise reduction, glazed screens for natural light optimization, specialist joinery, and a fully equipped pedestrian lift.

Extensive External Enhancements

The development included new roads, service yards, pedestrian footpaths, extensive landscaping, and green spaces. Additionally, the car parking area is equipped with EV charging stations, supporting sustainability initiatives.

Community Engagement and Sustainability Initiatives

Beyond its architectural and operational impact, the project delivered notable community benefits. Luddon Construction facilitated an interactive visit for Tweedbank Primary School’s P1 pupils, giving them firsthand exposure to the world of construction, including an up-close look at a digger in action. The company also contributed to local charities by donating surplus building materials and making valuable contributions to a food bank.

A New Era for Oregon Timber Frame

Reflecting on the project’s success, Oregon Timber Frame’s joint managing director, Peter Wade, expressed his enthusiasm for the new facility:

“The Oregon staff and I are delighted with our newly constructed office build, with the move from old to new going seamlessly.

“Luddon have provided a modern and spacious new office block with great attention to detail.

“I look forward to continuing our working relationship with Luddon on the next phase of our expansion project, with the extension of two existing factories.

“The extra capacity provided by the modernisation of our buildings and equipment, will greatly support our ambitious future growth plans.”

With the successful completion of the headquarters, Oregon Timber Frame is now well-positioned to enhance its operations and continue expanding its manufacturing capabilities. Luddon Construction’s commitment to quality and attention to detail has set the stage for the next phase of Oregon’s growth journey.
