Keeley Construction Completes Advanced Hanger Clinic in Schaumburg

Keeley Construction has officially completed a state-of-the-art 19,475-square-foot Integrated Care Center (ICC) for Hanger Clinic in Schaumburg, Illinois, offering a new benchmark in patient-focused care for individuals with physical disabilities.
Located at 640 E. Golf Road in the northwest Chicago suburb, the new facility was designed with innovation, accessibility, and comprehensive care in mind. Hanger Clinic, a national leader in orthotic and prosthetic solutions with more than 900 locations across the U.S., developed the ICC model to enhance the standard of care for individuals with limb loss, limb difference, and other mobility-related conditions.

The Schaumburg ICC is equipped with features intended to simulate real-life environments, empowering patients to test prosthetics and improve mobility in a meaningful way. The space includes:
- A rock-climbing wall
- Full gym area
- Running track
- Golf simulator
- A fully equipped kitchen and demo apartment
These features are specifically designed to allow patients to experience and adjust to prosthetic technology in familiar and practical settings.
In addition to these innovative rehab spaces, the clinic also houses:
- Multiple medical exam rooms
- A reception and waiting area
- An onsite fabrication lab
- Dedicated office space
- A Clinician Collaboration Center to support teamwork and advanced care planning
The project team included Sarfatty Associates as the architect, Ware Malcomb as the interior designer, and Cushman & Wakefield as the broker and owner’s representative. Their collaboration aimed to ensure the facility met the specialized needs of patients and clinicians alike.
The Schaumburg ICC represents a growing trend in healthcare toward integrated, experience-based treatment environments that go beyond traditional clinical models. Hanger Clinic's investment in this advanced facility reflects its continued commitment to improving outcomes and quality of life for individuals navigating physical rehabilitation.
