Caroline Raffetto

Chicago, April 7, 2025 — FCL Builders, LLC, one of the top-ranked design-build contractors in the industrial and commercial construction space, has made a series of significant hires to support its continued growth and expand its presence in strategic markets nationwide. The company, ranked #4 on Engineering News Record’s annual list of the top warehouse and distribution contractors, announced key new appointments to its project development and construction teams.

These new additions are aimed at enhancing FCL’s capabilities in major verticals such as cold storage, data centers, and warehousing/distribution, sectors that continue to experience strong demand nationwide.

“Building customer relationships is at the heart of our company mission. Central to that goal is understanding the projects we build through the customer’s lens,” said FCL President and CEO, Chris Linn. “These additions each bring multifaceted perspectives to their roles, to better serve customers, end-users of each facility we build, and the teams they lead.”

New Executive Appointments

Gregory Camp has stepped into the role of Vice President of Project Development for National Cold Storage. With more than 25 years of combined experience in the food & beverage sector and construction management, Camp is well-positioned to help clients modernize and expand cold chain infrastructure across the country. His technical depth in refrigerated facilities and his active involvement with industry boards—including NAIOP and the FPSA—highlight his dedication to advancing the cold storage sector.

Expanding Midwest Operations

Ryan Gallager has been named Director of Project Development, focusing primarily on warehousing and distribution projects across the Midwest. With 18 years of experience in project management and real estate development—including a tenure with Amazon—Gallager brings invaluable insights from the client side of the business.

His current focus includes spearheading major Amazon-related developments, giving FCL a competitive advantage in one of the most rapidly growing logistics markets in the U.S. “Ryan’s deep experience navigating both internal development and third-party contractor roles uniquely equips him to lead complex builds with a customer-first mindset,” the company noted.

Strengthening the Southern Region

Since joining in 2024, Blake McClendon has been making waves as Director of Construction and leader of FCL’s Houston office. With an extensive background in industrial projects and deep knowledge of the Houston market, McClendon has already delivered major wins. Previously, he co-founded and scaled a construction division that delivered over 3 million square feet of tilt-wall projects in just three years.

At FCL, he’s continued that momentum: his team has locked in more than $120 million in construction commitments through 2026, including six multi-tenant warehouse and distribution developments designed to support diverse regional industries.

West Coast Growth and Client Relations

Out west, Darina Sokanthong has joined as Director of Business Development for the Western Region, where she is charged with deepening client relationships and driving growth in a complex and competitive marketplace. With a background in large-scale industrial and commercial real estate, Sokanthong is known for her customer-first approach and her ability to manage stakeholder interests across major developments.

She also serves on the board of the Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives of Southern California (ACRE SoCal), reinforcing her strong ties to the California real estate community.
