Evan Remele of NAVFAC Washington Earns Prestigious CCM Certification

Evan Remele, a Construction Management Specialist with the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington, has earned one of the industry’s most prestigious honors: the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).

The CCM designation is widely regarded as the pinnacle of achievement in the construction management profession. Candidates must meet strict requirements, including comprehensive education and professional experience benchmarks, a strong commitment to ethical practice, and passing a rigorous examination covering all aspects of construction management—from project delivery to cost control and quality assurance.
Remele’s accomplishment highlights NAVFAC Washington’s ongoing commitment to maintaining excellence in federal construction projects.
“We are incredibly proud of Evan's dedication and hard work in achieving this significant milestone,” said Javier Molinari, Construction Division Director for Planning, Design and Construction (PDC). “The CCM credential demonstrates Evan's commitment to professional excellence and reinforces NAVFAC Washington's mission to provide our supported commands with projects delivered on time and within budget.”
With over seven years of service at NAVFAC Washington, Remele has played a key role in numerous high-profile infrastructure projects, including major mechanical and electrical system upgrades and historically sensitive renovations at the United States Naval Academy. His contributions have earned him recognition not only for technical expertise, but also for his ability to manage complex projects with precision.
Most recently, he joined the NAVFAC Washington PDC Construction Division, where he contributes to community management and supports Field Offices across the region.
Reflecting on his journey to certification, Remele shared insights into the significance of the process:
“Preparing for the exam clarified to me that despite the wide variety of types of projects and project delivery methods, there are still overarching principles and best practices that are necessary for successful construction projects. I look forward to applying the knowledge and skills I've gained to continue delivering exceptional results at NAVFAC Washington.”
His achievement is part of a broader push within NAVFAC to support professional development and elevate technical standards across the command. By encouraging staff to pursue certifications like the CCM, the organization strengthens its ability to deliver world-class facilities and infrastructure to the Navy and Marine Corps.
The CCM credential is more than just a personal achievement—it also signifies mastery of industry best practices and a commitment to excellence that benefits all of NAVFAC’s supported commands.
