TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Nick Burgess, Wayne Mayo, and Steve Richmond, along with reappointments for Donald Cesarone, Jonathan Cook, Fred Kobie, Rachelle Wood, and Brian Zettle to the Construction Industry Licensing Board.
- Nick Burgess of Zephyrhills is the Executive Director for AdventHealth Pasco County Foundations and holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of South Florida.
- Wayne Mayo of Tallahassee is the President and Founder of Southern Standard Construction, LLC. He holds a degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and was awarded the 2023 Eagle Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida.
- Steve Richmond of Naples is the Founder of Projetech, Inc., author of Working SMART, and a member of the Forbes Technology Council. He holds an associate degree from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.
- Donald Cesarone of Lake Worth is the CEO of Lucas Lagoons Construction, LLC. He was inducted into the Florida Swimming Pool Association Hall of Fame in 2024 and received the 2023 Best in Show Award. He attended Broward College and North Texas State University.
- Jonathan Cook of Chipley is the Vice President of CINCH Underground, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Thomas University and is an active Deacon at First Baptist Church in Chipley.
- Fred Kobie of LaBelle is the President of Kobie Kooling, Inc. and Kobie Inspection Services. He holds a business degree from Kennedy Western University and is the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of LaBelle.
- Rachelle Wood of Jupiter is the President and Contractor for Dolphin Sheet Metal, Inc. She holds a degree from the University of Florida and is involved with the National Association of Women in Construction and the Palm Beach County Air Conditioning Contractors.
- Brian Zettle of Tallahassee is a Partner and Consultant at Boyette Zettle, LLC, with a degree in building construction from the University of North Florida. He has served on several prominent committees, including the Tallahassee State College Construction Advisory Committee.
These appointments are pending confirmation by the Florida Senate.
