Construction Begins for New CT Scanner at Wingham Hospital
Construction is starting at the Wingham and District Hospital for the installation of a new CT scanner, with work set to commence on January 20, according to the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance.
A media release highlights the significance of the new equipment: “The addition of the CT scanner represents a major advancement for the hospital, aligning with the standard of care for emergency departments. This cutting-edge technology will provide essential diagnostic services closer to home, ensuring timely and accurate medical assessments for our community.”
The project has been made possible through generous donations, including contributions raised during the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation’s "Caring Together" campaign.

The new CT scanner is anticipated to be operational by summer.
