PCL Construction is excited to announce the promotion of Andrew Moles to the position of vice president and general manager for the company’s Solar Division.
In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for the overall operational leadership of all solar energy initiatives that PCL undertakes across Canada, the United States, and Australia. With a steadfast dedication to the renewable energy sector, he continues to set high standards for both himself and his team, emphasizing ethics, excellence, and a commitment to improving the communities PCL serves.
“I’m honored to be leading this talented team of industry experts that make up our Solar Division,” said Andrew. “Each project we build represents a commitment to our clients and to the communities where we live and work. Our team of professionals optimizes every design to ensure cost effectiveness and maximum energy output for the end user, but we also engage with local residents and charitable organizations to uplift and enrich the lives of those in the community. I’m excited moving forward as we continue building a better future, together.”
With more than 18 years of experience at PCL and over 15 years in the solar industry, Andrew has played a central role in the successful delivery of solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, amassing a total value of over $8.3 billion (CAD $8.3B, USD $5.8B, AUD $9.3B).

Andrew's leadership extends beyond PCL’s projects. He has been an influential figure in the solar energy industry, having served as a board member and vice-chair of the Utility-Scale Solar Division of the US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Additionally, he has contributed as a board member for the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA), further solidifying his impact on the growth of solar energy across North America.
PCL Solar’s portfolio speaks to its industry leadership. To date, the division has successfully contracted more than 8 gigawatts (GW) of utility-scale solar projects. This achievement underscores the company’s growing presence and capability in the global renewable energy market.
Andrew's commitment to sustainability and innovation aligns with PCL’s broader goals of creating positive, long-term impacts on both the environment and the communities in which they operate. The company’s forward-looking approach to clean energy reflects its responsibility to advance renewable solutions, drive progress, and contribute to a sustainable future.
The Solar Division’s growth is expected to continue as global demand for clean energy solutions increases. PCL remains focused on expanding its footprint in the renewable energy sector, collaborating with communities and stakeholders to create sustainable infrastructure that will power the future.
PCL Construction has long been a leader in infrastructure development across multiple sectors, including commercial, residential, industrial, and renewable energy. The promotion of Andrew Moles to VP and GM of the Solar Division is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its commitment to sustainability and its leadership role in the renewable energy sector.
As part of its ongoing expansion, PCL Solar is exploring new partnerships and innovations to further reduce the cost of solar energy and increase its efficiency, including exploring new battery storage technologies and grid integration methods. PCL’s efforts also aim to support global clean energy targets and foster economic development through the creation of green jobs and sustainable business practices.
