Ahearn Equipment Becomes Hyundai Dealer in New Hampshire

Caroline Raffetto

Ahearn Equipment is deepening its footprint in the construction equipment market with a new partnership to sell and service HD Hyundai Construction Equipment across New Hampshire. Hyundai Construction Equipment North America recently announced the addition of Ahearn’s Hudson, N.H., facility to its growing dealer network, enabling the company to offer the full lineup of Hyundai machines to customers in the region.

Founded nearly 50 years ago as an agricultural equipment dealership in Massachusetts, Ahearn has steadily grown under the leadership of brothers Josh and Jeremy Ahearn, sons of the original founder. The company now serves customers across New England, with locations in Rhode Island and New Hampshire, and has evolved its focus from agricultural to construction equipment as regional demographics and market demand shifted.

The transition into the construction sector began in 2011 and has since expanded to include compact and heavy construction equipment, as well as rentals. With a long-standing reputation for customer-first service and reliable machinery, the addition of Hyundai is a strategic move that both sides believe will deliver value to contractors and operators across the state.

"We're genuinely excited to be carrying the full lineup of Hyundai construction equipment," said Justin Adams, Ahearn Equipment's sales director. "Josh and I really advocated to bring in the Hyundai brand. I worked with my dad in construction for many years, and we ran a Hyundai 2001 160-LC3 excavator for more than 6,000 hours with minimal issues. Hyundai equipment is easy to sell and service. It's a product we believe in."

Adams also emphasized how Hyundai’s reputation for quality fits with Ahearn’s company culture and approach to customer relationships. "The high-quality Hyundai machines provide the perfect complement to Ahearn's service commitment. We aim to give our customers the best in industry service. We treat each other like family, and we try to treat our customers the same way."

This new alliance also brings confidence from Hyundai’s side. “Ahearn's dedication to ‘on-time earthmoving solutions’ makes them a great fit for Hyundai and our customers in this area,” said Brian Slavinski, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America's northeast district manager. “With their 8,500-sq.-ft. facility in Hudson and their exceptional service team, we know our customers will be well served.”

The Hudson location is now fully equipped to provide sales, service, parts, and support for Hyundai’s full lineup, including excavators, wheel loaders, compaction equipment, and more. With the rise in infrastructure projects and commercial developments across New Hampshire, Ahearn and Hyundai are positioning themselves to meet increasing demand.

Looking ahead, Ahearn Equipment plans to integrate Hyundai’s latest technologies, including telematics and fuel-efficient engines, to meet modern construction challenges. Training programs for both technicians and customers are expected to be rolled out later this year to ensure maximum uptime and operator efficiency.

By combining Hyundai’s innovation with Ahearn’s decades of trusted service, the partnership promises to bring reliable equipment and responsive support to job sites throughout the Granite State.
