The Associated Builders and Contractors Carolinas Chapter (ABC Carolinas) honored over 50 exceptional construction projects valued collectively at $1.2 billion during the 2024 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards Gala on November 7. The event celebrated outstanding achievements in Merit Shop construction and recognized contractors and industry professionals for their innovation, craftsmanship, and dedication.

‍Awards Overview

The EIC program presented 24 Eagle Awards, 16 Merit Awards, and 10 Honorable Mentions across various categories, recognizing projects for complexity, innovation, safety, and aesthetics. Specialty honors included the ABC Carolinas Best in BIM award to Messer Construction Co. for the Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute and the Free Enterprise Alliance Award to Adams Electric Company for the Atrium Health Levine Cancer Proton & Advanced Radiation Center.
