Nosa Ehimwenman's passion for construction began early. He spent his high school years working alongside his father in Chicago as a laborer and carpenter. This experience instilled in him a lifelong love for building and a strong work ethic.
Nosa's dedication to construction continued after high school. He spent ten years at Gilbane Building Company, where he quickly rose to become one of their youngest senior managers. In July 2013, he left the Special Projects Group to pursue his entrepreneurial dream and founded Bowa Construction.
With over 20 years of experience in construction management across diverse sectors, including K-12, mission-critical, higher education, retail, healthcare, interior renovations, residential, and financial institutions, Nosa brings a broad range of knowledge to Bowa Construction. His diverse leadership team further strengthens the company's expertise across all project phases.
Under Nosa's leadership, Bowa Construction has flourished since its founding in 2011. The company has grown significantly, expanding from a team of three to over 100 employees and establishing a presence in six cities. They have demonstrably shaped Chicago's built environment by completing over 300 projects.
However, Bowa Construction goes beyond simply building structures. Nosa believes businesses should participate actively in the communities they serve.
This commitment to civic engagement is evident as he takes on the lead contractor role for the Obama Presidential Center Programs & Athletic Center, which is scheduled to begin construction in February 2024.
His track and field career at Ohio State University, where he was an All-American full-scholarship student-athlete, is evidence of his motivation, self-control, and resolve. These fundamental ideas also direct his business dealings and help to shape Bowa Construction's future direction
